The patented tuning system is built into the bottom of the body and allows for quick, easy and precise adjustment, exceptional tuning stability and easy string changes.

At the heart of the NXTa is a Polar™ Pickup System, whose piezo components convert string vibration directly into signal output. This provides a balanced, tonally rich reproduction of tone
and offers a wide range of expressive possibilities. Arco and Pizzicato have significantly different vibration characteristics, and the Polar Pickup system faithfully captures both.

Dual Mode Output - The new dual-signal output electronics in the NXTa take the convenience, versatility and performance capabilities of the NXT to another level.

Active Mode - Using the included charger, plug the NXTa into a wall outlet for 60 seconds to charge the capacitor-powered active circuitry for up to 16 hours of playtime.

The instrument can then be plugged straight into any low or high impedance input, no di-box required. Since there is no signal loss across the instrument's entire frequency spectrum,
every tone becomes clear and strong, even with extra long cables.

Passive Mode - The NXTa can be played in this mode when using a DI box or an amplifier with a high impedance input. (This mode provides performance capabilities identical to the original NXT.)
