The Miniature Clip Mic System (MCM) is designed for close-miking of acoustic instruments, without the compromises often associated with miniature microphone systems — whether in sound quality, ease of use, or mounting flexibility.

The Neumann KK 14 cardioid capsule redefines the signal fidelity and precision that electret systems can deliver. Thanks to a completely new production process, the KK 14 overcomes former limitations such as inconsistencies in sensitivity and tonal balance.

Orchestras, theaters, and rental companies can rely on the full signature sound of every acoustic instrument. Built from titanium, the KK 14 is road-tough and designed to last for decades, not just a single season — all while delivering sound worthy of the iconic Neumann badge.

A core element of the MCM system is its extensive range of mounting clips, allowing fast, secure, and gentle microphone positioning on virtually any instrument. Even the most sensitive surfaces are protected, and mounting typically requires only one hand.

To interface natively with all major wireless systems, four interchangeable cables are available with 3.5 mm jack, Lemo, 4-pin mini-XLR, or MicroDot connectors. No adapters required. The microphone also supports wired operation via a high-end XLR output stage.
